Hey I'm Luke,
I'm a Graphic Artist & Illustrator.
My work - monstrosity as a metaphor for queerness, and the idea of the queer individual remaining a threatening impurity to society in a period of still sought-after progression and acceptance.
Monstrosity has long played a vital role within my work, and it’s a theme I have come to identify with my own queerness - feeling like an outsider but learning to embrace and celebrate what makes me different from society as a queer person.
The subject matter of my work mostly centres around pop and queer culture, from classic universal horror icons such as Boris Karlof’s portrayal of Frankenstein’s monster, to more contemporary queer pop icons, such as RuPaul and the Spice Girls.
